Discover The Enhancements Cisco Put Into Its ONS 15808 Optical Series

The Cisco ONS 15808 is the newest addition to the ONS 1580X Series LH and ELH DWDM platforms. The ONS 15808 is a 2.5 and 10 Gbps DWDM transmission platform designed to support applications in both the long-haul (0 to 600 km range) and extended long-haul (600 to 2000 km range) markets. Technology enhancements in the Cisco ONS 15808 allow for tighter channel spacing, higher channel capacity, higher bit rate, and greatly extended transmission distances, which ultimately enable the platform to scale to more than 160 channels and to 40 Gbps transmission rates.
