The Lucent CBX 500® is a 5 Gbps switch that delivers Circuit Emulation, ATM, IP carrier-class and Frame Relay networking deployed at the network edge. Because of the wide selection of I/O modules, you can deploy unmatched port densities over copper and fiber with speeds that go up to 622 Mbps.
The Lucent CBX 500® consolidates, scales, and simplifies converged public networks, and delivers high speed ATM truning and high-density ATM, IP/MPLS and Frame Relay services from one switch. You can also extend FR and ATM services and add IP services through the CBX 500®'s multiservice capabilities.
This switch is part of the multiservice switching portfolio that includes the Lucent GX 550® as well.
